Fish Curry with Dry Gravy - Nga See Byan

INGREDIENTS

1 kg

2 teaspoons

5 cloves

3 medium

1 teaspoon

1 stalk

1 tablespoon

4 tablespoon

1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

1 tablespoon

 

white fish fillet

fish sauce

garlic

onions

fresh ginger, grated

lemon grass

chili powder

sunflower seed oil

ground turmeric

chicken stock

chopped coriander leaves

 

METHOD
  • Cut fish fillet into serving pieces. Marinate in fish sauce dissolved in water.
  • In  a blender, add onion, garlic, ginger, lemon grass and grind to puree adding a little water if required. When  puree mix in the turmeric and chili powder.
  • In a wok fry the puree for 2 minutes. When ingredients are well cooked, put pieces of fish in wok and fry for 3 minutes on one side, then turn and cook the other side.
  • Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
