Fried Chicken Coated with Sesame Seeds - Goma Yaki

INGREDIENTS

600g

1 teaspoons

3 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

3 tablespoons

1 tablespoon

 

 

chicken thighs

japanese soy sauce

sake

chicken stock

peanut oil

sesame seeds

METHOD
  • Cut chicken into bite size square and set aside. In a bowl mix sake, chicken stock and soy sauce together and dip the cut chicken in the mixture and set a aside to marinate for 45 minutes.
  • In a frying pan, toast sesame seeds over a low heat until they are evenly golden and set aside to cool.
  • Heat oil in frying pan and fry chicken until both side is brown and reduce heat and fry for another few minutes or cooked.
  • Arrange chicken in a serving plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. It is best serve with a plate of vegetable salad.
