Marinated Deep Fried Chicken  - Tatsuta Age

INGREDIENTS

600g

4 teaspoons

2 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

3 tablespoons

1 cup

 

 

chicken thighs

japanese soy sauce

sake

sugar

corn flour

vegetable oil for deep frying

 

 

METHOD
  • In a bowl mix soy sauce, sake and sugar well. Cut chicken into bite size serving piece and marinate with the mix sauce for 2 hours.

  • Drain chicken and rub with the corn flour, particularly on the skin and leave for 15 minutes.

  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan until oil is hot. Add chicken into pan one by one and deep fry until golden brown and crisp.

  • Drain excess oil and serve hot.
