Korean Deep Fried Beef - Gogi Bokum

INGREDIENTS

600g

2 teaspoons

1/2 cup

1 tablespoon

2 clove

3 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

fillet steak

sesame oil

peanut oil

chopped leek

garlic, finely chopped

light soy sauce

sugar

bulgogi sauce

 

METHOD
  • Wash steak clean, cut into thin slices and beat them flat. Sprinkle with spring onion, leek and garlic. In a bowl mix soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil together. Spread over the beef and marinate for at least 4 hours or longer.

  • In a wok, heat peanut oil and stir fry the beef for a few seconds. Drain briefly and serve with rice and bulgogi sauce. It is important to get a quality bulgogi sauce.

  • Beef is dipped in the sauce and eaten to obtain the flavor.  Best taken with white rice.
