Asian Recipes - Fried Fish Fillet Malaysian Style

INGREDIENTS

fish fillets - monkfish, sole or plaice

light soy sauce

fresh root ginger, crushed and chopped

sunflower oil

spring onions, shredded to garnish

clove garlic, crushed

 

 

METHOD
  • Place the fillet in a shallow dish and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set a side and marinate with light soy sauce.

  • Heat oil in  a deep frying pan. Dip the fish in the pan and fry for 4 -5 minutes, until brown. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper and set a side.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in  the frying pan and add ginger, onions and garlic and stir fry until fragrant and brown.

  • Sprinkle the ginger, onions and garlic over the fish and serve hot.
