Asian Recipes of Vietnam - Beef with Bamboo Shoots

INGREDIENTS

400g

1 can

2 tablespoons

1/2 teaspoon

1 clove

2 teaspoons

 

 

round steak

bamboo shoots, sliced

spring onions, sliced

peanut oil

chicken stock

spring onion, chopped

garlic, crushed

red chili, seeded and chopped

fish sauce

 

METHOD
  • Cut beef into slices and heat peanut oil in wok and quickly stir fry beef  for a minute. Quickly remove from wok and set aside.
  • In the same wok add a little oil and fry sliced bamboo shoots and spring onions. Add chicken stock, fish sauce, chili, garlic and fry for about 3 minutes.
  • Return beef to the work and stir fry for 1 minute and mix well.
  • Add a little pepper and serve hot with white rice.
