Steamed Chicken with Mushrooms - Nam Dong Co Tiem Ga

INGREDIENTS

1 kg

1/4 teaspoon

2 teaspoons

1 teaspoon

1 glove

 

 

chicken

dried chinese mushrooms

young ginger

spring onions, sliced

chicken stock

pepper

fish sauce

sesame oil

garlic, crushed

 

METHOD
  • Put the mushrooms in a bowl and soak in water for 1 hour. Discard the mushroom stems and cut mushrooms into thin slices. Cut chicken into chicken bites and put into steaming bowl and mix with mushroom slices, ginger, pepper, fish sauce, chicken stock and sesame oil. Mix well.

  • Bring water to boil in a wok  and put in the steaming bowl with chicken. Cover and steam for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Garnish with spring onions.

  • Serve with rice or noodles.
