Asian Food - Vietnam Pot Roasted Rice

INGREDIENTS

2 cups

3 tablespoons

1 tablespoon

2 teaspoon

 

 

medium grain rice

peanut oil

light soy sauce

spring onions, shredded to garnish

 

METHOD
  • Wash rice well and drain for 20 minutes or until dry.
  • Heat peanut oil in a saucepan with a well fitting lid. Fry Rice, stirring gently for 15 minutes or until rice becomes opaque and turns golden.
  • Add hot water and bring to boil, then reduce heat to very low. Cover tightly and cook for 25 minutes.
  • Serve with nuoc cham and other side dishes.
