Recipes of Vietnam - Roasted Leg of Pork

Asian Food - Dui Heo Kho Noi Dat

 
INGREDIENTS

1.5 kg

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon

6 clove

2 teaspoons

1/2 teaspoon

1 cup

 

 

leg of pork

salt

vegetable oil

spring onion, chopped

fish sauce

pepper

water

 

METHOD
  • Slice five of the garlic cloves. With the tip of the knife make small deep incisions in the leg of pork and insert slices of garlic. In a bowl mix well salt, pepper, fish sauce and rub all over the pork and leave it to marinate for half an hour.
  • Heat oil in a large wok and with medium heat, brown the pork all over. Add water and bring it to boil, cover lid and cook for 1.5  hour or until pork is cooked.
  • Put aside and allow it to cool and sliced and serve with other dishes.
